What We've Been Up To
I'm a media consultant and writer who has worked as both a journalist and a media and content strategist.
As a technology and business journalist I’ve covered topics as diverse as e-commerce, financial tech, outsourcing, operational risk, public health, telecoms, digital media, digital advertising, mobile handsets, digital content, the app economy, children’s apps and the sharing economy.
Over a fifteen-year span as a journalist starting out in Silicon Valley, I have worked for or contributed to some of tech’s most respected magazines, news outlets and blogs: The Industry Standard, The Industry Standard Europe, Red Herring, Business 2.0, Wired UK, the Independent, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph, and most recently PaidContent and MocoNews. I currently contribute articles to Tech.eu.
I have covered business and tech news from San Francisco, CA; London, UK; Brussels, Belgium; and Washington D.C.
Agency experience at the London office of Silicon Valley agency Spark PR working with a range of US clients to bring them to the UK, and supporting UK clients in entry to the US.
In-house experience as head of communications for the Cambridge, UK and Denver, CO-based mobile news reader app Taptu. Appointed at a crucial pivot in the company’s history and oversaw media relations, social media and content until its successful sale.
Now working with startups to early stage tech companies in a range of industries including on demand or sharing economy services, field service, ad tech, big data, payments, digital music, mobile handsets, financial technology and more.
